A Caribbean Honeymoon with European Style
Hotel Caravelle invites honeymooners to enjoy a little romance and a little adventure with Caravelle's Caribbean Honeymoon package. The romantic escape includes a bottle of champagne, candle-light dinner, a choice between a sailing adventure or an island tour and more. For a four-day, three-night stay, package rates from now through April 14 are $799 and from April 15 through December 14, the packages rates start at $699 per couple, including taxes and service charges. Lovebirds can enjoy a longer stay with a seven-night honeymoon package from $1499 now through April 14 and $1299 from April 15 through December 14.

Caravelle's Caribbean Honeymoon package includes:

  1. deluxe king ocean-view room
  2. bottle of champagne
  3. candle-light dinner at the award winning Rum Runner's waterfront restaurant
  4. his and her t-shirts
  5. a choice of sailing to Buck Island National Park or an island tour exploring the many historical and cultural sites on St. Croix

For couples wanting to combine their wedding and honeymoon, Hotel Caravelle can arrange or assist with wedding services. The hotel offers an underwater wedding package, which includes dive gear, minister and three-night stay is just $1440. Weddings can also be arranged on land, on a sailboat or at a local church.

Wet Wedding Package
Hotel Caravelle is making a splash with their Wet Wedding Package where couples tie the knot under the sea. The full service package, which includes dive gear, minister and a three-night stay is just $1499 now through April 14 and $1299 from April 15 through December 14.

The largest underwater wedding, according to the Guinness Book of World Records, was held on St. Croix on September 13, 2003, where 103 guests attended the underwater wedding ceremony of John Santino and fiancee Toni Wilson.

"We came to St. Crois to dive and find the underwater world to be absolutely stunning," stated groom John Santino of New Hampshire, "So it was the only place we could imagine exchanging vows."

Couples wanting to tie the knot under the sea can do so for just $1440 for a four-day/three-night package. The Wet Wedding Package includes accommodations, two dives, marriage services performed by Captain Ed Buckly (includes consultation, ceremony and filing of documents), a candle-light dinner at Hotel Caravelle's waterfront restaurant, his and hers T-shirts, champagne and flowers in the guest room and a choice of a Buck Island or Safari land tour. All taxes and services are included. The marriage license ($100) is additional. Rates are valid now through December 15, 2007.

Diving is provided by St. Croix Ultimate Bluewater Adventures, voted the number one dive staff and number two dive operator in the world and is a PADI Gold Palm IDC facility.

Kids Learn2Dive
Hotel Caravelle, known for its family-oriented staff and warm hospitality, invites kids to dive into the ocean's brilliant underwater world. Kids 10 years and older can learn to dive with the award winning dive team at St. Croix Ultimate Bluewater Adventures (S.C.U.B.A.). The Learn2Dive package rates from now through April 14 start at $1349. Rates are $1199 from April 15 through December 14. The rate includes accommodations for a five-night stay (one room, two parents and one child), breakfast daily and certification for one student 10 years or older. Once certified, the student enjoys a complimentary two-tank dive.

"It builds their confidence, introduces them to a new environment and teaches new skills," says Amy Kalmans, whose 12-year-old son Andrew just completed the two-day certification process in St. Croix, "It also keeps him entertained and excited about the family vacation."

The Learn2Dive package allows students to start the learning process at home with a textbook, video and DVD or CD-ROM. Students then join the S.C.U.B.A. instructor on St. Croix for two days of training and diving. After written tests are passed, students practice what they have learned in the pool at Hotel Caravelle. After passing the pool classes, students enjoy four ocean dives with instructors in the cool, calm waters of the Caribbean. Once passing written and open water tests, students earn their PADI Junior Openwater Diver certification. Certified students get a bonus two-tank dive as a graduation present from the team at S.C.U.B.A.

The Fish With Carl Package
The Fish With Carl package is $1149 per couple from now through April 14 and $949 per couple April 15 through December 14. The rate includes accommodations for a three-night stay, breakfast daily and a half-day fishing excursion with Captain Carl Holley.

"The water around St. Croix are rich with nutrients and deep -- a perfect environment for a variety of fish," stated captain Carl Holley who has been fishing the waters of St. Croix since 2002, "What you catch depends on what time of year it is. You can catch mahi-mahi, wahoo, tuna, and for the ultimate fight, sailfish and marlin."

The Fish with Carl package is ideal for travelers who love the ocean as well as the thrill of deep-sea fishing. Charters are on "The Mocko Jumbie," a 36-foot Hatteras. The boats has a GPS tracking and plotting system, which is marked with all the best fishing spots.

Girls Get-Their-Way Package
Hotel Caravelle, known for its convenient location to shopping, historical sites and great dining, invites women to get away from it all with Girls Get-Their-Way package. The escape includes three nights in an ocean-view room, breakfast daily, island style hair braiding and a choice of sailing the Buck Island National Park or an Island Safari Tour which takes the ladies to the many historical, scenic and cultural sites on St. Croix. The Girls Get-Their-Way package rates from now through April 14 start at $899 and from April 15 through December 14 the package rate is $799. Rates are per room, double occupancy, including taxes.

With the Girls Get-Their-Way package, women have the choice between an island tour and sailing trip. The island tour includes visits to Whim Greathouse (a 16th century Danish plantation), St. George Botanical Gardens, the site where Christopher Columbus landed, a tropical rainforest, the island's two historic towns, and the local rum factory.

The sailing trip to Buck Island includes a snorkeling excursion through one of only three underwater national parks in the USA. The 19,000 acre Buck Island Reef National Monument includes 176 acres of land, which has an overland nature trail and white coral sand beaches, is a haven for endangered brown pelicans and a nesting area for three species of sea turtles, and 4,554 acres of water and coral reef system. Two-thirds of the island is surrounded by a coral barrier reef, which includes a Marine Garden area. The sea excursion includes a visit to Buck Islands Turtle Beach, voted one of the world's most beautiful beaches by National Geographic, a snorkeling trip though the island famous underwater trail, and lunch.

Once the sailing excursion and island tour are complete, the sun-soaked ladies can explore the many shops, art galleries and bars and restaurants of Christiansted and all in walking distance from Hotel Caravelle.

Good Neighbor Package
Hotel Caravelle invites fellow islanders to discover St. Croix. Hotel Caravelle is offering guests with a valid driver's license any Caribbean island a complimentary rental car for a day when they book a two-night stay. The good Neighbor rates is $j409 per room now through April 14 and $309 from April 15 through December 14. The rates are per room, double occupancy and include breakfast daily.

"There is so much to discover on St. Croix," says Elsie Galloway, Manager of Hotel Caravelle, "The island boats two forts, two plantaion museums, two historic towns and a wonderful self-guided Heritage Trail that comes complete with maps and descriptions."

Hotel Caravelle is steps away from local jewelry stores including IB Designs, owner and operated by Whealan Massociott, who creates unique pieces from chaney (local pottery) as well as gold and silver. Stunning paints and other local artwork by locals can be viewed and purchased at many galleries including Marie Henle Gallery, Quinn House Gallery, Many Hands Gallery and the Whim Greathouse Gift shop, all which are walking distance form Hotel Caravelle. Cooked to Perfection
The seventh annual Taste of St. Croix culinary event is set for April 19, 2007 and Hotel Caravelle is offering a special package for the mouth-watering event. The hotel's Cooked to Perfection Package includes two tickets to the Taste of St. Croix culinary event, breakfast daily at the award-winning Rumrunners seaside restaurant, and four-days, three-nights accommodations at Hotel Caravelle. The Cooked to Perfection Package is $899 double occupancy and is valid April 2007. .

"Tickets to Taste of St. Croix are highly coveted," said Elsie Galloway, Manager of Hotel Caravelle, "The event attracts more than 600 locals and visitors and, I would guess, there are a few hundred more who would like to go, but tickets sell out quickly. This year we were able to secure a limited amount of tickets for this package. We anticipate the Cooked to Perfection package will sell very quickly."

Restaurant owners Katherine and Frank Pugliese of Bacchus and Kelly and Smoky Odum of Tutto Bene started the Taste of St. Croix to showcase the culinary innovation found on island. More than 60 different types of wines were poured at the event in 2006 and guests included everyone from locals to visitors from USA and Europe.

The annual fundraising event raises more than $30,000 for the St. Croix Foundation, a non-profit organization that works diligently to revitalize the town of Christiansted. The event showcases the gastronomic talents of more than 50 of the islands restaurants. In 2006, Rumrunners, the waterfront restaurant located at Hotel Caravelle was voted as the number one favorite for the fourth consecutive year.

A Taste of St. Croix is a wine and food event that showcases the diverse and delicious cuisine and wine available on the island.

Guests sample an amazing variety of foods, from Cajun to Lebanese, Creole, Italian, French, and many exciting Caribbean recipes that takes advantage of the local fruits, vegetables and spices.

Chefs and restaurant owners from other Caribbean islands judge the event. They vote on their top picks in such categories as best appetizer, entree, dessert, presentation, and more.
